Joel Porter’s practice focuses on litigation. He has extensive experience in both commercial and personal injury litigation, having tried more than 100 jury and bench trials during a career that began at the firm in 1964. Mr. Porter served, with member Jef Feibelman, as lead counsel for the plaintiffs in one of the largest commercial recoveries in state history. He has also represented parties in numerous products liability, medical malpractice, personal injury, and eminent domain matters. Mr. Porter is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Tennessee Bar Foundation. He served as the firm’s Chairman from 2001 until he retired from that position in 2007.
