BPJ Associate is named a Presidential Fellow by National Bar Association

Congratulations to BPJ Associate Patrick Hillard on being selected as a member of the inaugural class of Presidential Fellows by the National Bar Association, the nation’s oldest and largest network of predominantly African-American lawyers and judges.

Hillard is one of only four lawyers in the 12-member Fellowship class, which comes from all over the country. The Fellowship includes leadership training as well as advocacy projects in the areas of voting rights, criminal justice reform, and eliminating public health disparities based on race.

“The president of the National Bar Association, Carlos Moore, is a fraternity brother of mine who I have known professionally for years. The organization encouraged me to apply, and I am delighted to be one of the few selected,” said Hillard, who is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. “I look forward to the opportunity to be a part of this national group.”

Hillard graduated from the Cecil B. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis and focuses his practice on civil litigation.
