The law firm of Burch, Porter & Johnson, PLLC is pleased to announce that Tannera G. Gibson has become a member of the firm, effective January 1, 2017. She is the first African American female to become a partner in the firm.

Ms. Gibson is a native Memphian whose practice focuses on employment law and general civil litigation. She received a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Memphis, and worked as a software analyst prior to graduating from the University Of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School Of Law in 2008. During her time at the law school, she co-founded the Benjamin L. Hooks Chapter of the Black Law Students Association. In recent years, Gibson has been named as one of Memphis Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40.

Ms. Gibson currently serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations, including Moving Ahead School of Scholars, Citizens for Inner City Progress and the Shelby County Housing Authority.
