Les Jones and his team have recovered over $100 million in settlements and verdicts over the course of his 30+year career. Focusing on personal injury, medical malpractice and nursing home litigation. Mr. Jones and his partners have assisted countless families and individuals in navigating the recovery of their personal losses. A fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America has named him “Lawyer of the Year” three times, a Top 100 Super Lawyer in Tennessee and a Top 50 Super Lawyer for over 15 years.


Representative Matters

  • In 2005, Mr. Jones represented a plaintiff in obtaining one of the largest jury verdicts ever awarded in a medical malpractice case in Tennessee, Palanki v. Vanderbilt.
  • In 2012, the Tennessee Court of Appeals upheld a jury verdict in Gaw v. Vanderbilt, involving a minor child who had undergone bladder exstrophy surgery.
  • In Fall 2012, Mr. Jones obtained a verdict in a medical malpractice case in Western Tennessee in excess of $900,000, Hutcherson v. Dr. Caylor.
  • In January 2013, Mr. Jones and Tannera Gibson represented a plaintiff in obtaining a verdict in a medical malpractice case in Shelby County for more than $1.2 Million Dollars, Martin v. Campbell Clinic.
  • In February, 2015, Mr. Jones, Tannera Gibson and David Goodman represented a plaintiff in obtaining a verdict in a medical malpractice case in Shelby County for $750,000.00, Smith v. UTMG.
  • In May of 2017, Mr. Jones, David Goodman and former Burch, Porter & Johnson partner Todd Rose obtained a jury verdict in favor of the plaintiff in a medical malpractice case in rural West Tennessee.

In addition to other notable verdicts, the following represent a sample of our Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice trial outcomes:

  • In 2021, Mr. Jones and his partner Charles Higgins obtained a verdict in a Medical Malpractice case in West Tennessee. (Cody v. State of Tennessee)
  • In 2021, Mr. Jones, his partner Mathew Jehl and former Burch, Porter & Johnson partner Todd Rose, obtained a verdict in favor of the plaintiff in a Medical Malpractice case in Henry County, TN. (Fitzhugh v. Henry County Medical Center)
  • In 2021, Mr. Jones, his partner Mathew Jehl and former Burch, Porter & Johnson partner Todd Rose obtained a jury verdict in favor of the plaintiff in a Medical Malpractice case in Henry County, TN. (Page v. Dialysis Clinic, Inc.)
  • In 2022, Mr. Jones, Mathew Jehl and former Burch, Porter & Johnson partner Todd Rose obtained a verdict in favor of the plaintiffs in a Medical Malpractice case in Henry County, Tennessee. (Altoonian v. Henry County Medical Center)

  • In 2016, Mr. Jones and his team settled a Personal Injury Medical Malpractice claim against a local physician for $750,000.
  • In 2016, Mr. Jones and his team settled a case on behalf of their clients in a Wrongful Death, Medical Malpractice case against a local physician group in excess of $1.4 million.
  • In 2018, Mr. Jones and his team settled a Personal Injury case against a Middle Tennessee hospital for $1.5 million.
  • In 2018, Mr. Jones and his team settled a Wrongful Death, Medical Malpractice case on behalf of their client against a West Tennessee hospital and physician in excess of $1.29 million.
  • In 2019, Mr. Jones and his team settled a Wrongful Death, Medical Malpractice case for $600,000.
  • In 2019, Mr. Jones and his team settled an automobile collision case on behalf of their clients against a local commercial vehicle for $900,000.
  • In 2019, Mr. Jones and his team settled a Wrongful Death, Medical Malpractice case against a local hospital and physician in excess of $1.6 million.
  • In 2020, Mr. Jones and his team settled a Wrongful Death, Medical Malpractice case in excess of $750,000.
  • In 2020, Les Jones and his team settled a Medical Malpractice case against a local physician group in excess of $725,000.
  • In 2021, Mr. Jones and his team settled an automobile collision case for $750,000.
  • In 2022, Mr. Jones and his team settled a case against a local hospital on behalf of their client in excess of $1.1 million.
  • In 2022, Mr. Jones and his team settled a case on behalf of their clients against a West Tennessee Hospital service provider for approximately $900,000.
