Reagan Taylor Fondren, a former Acting United States Attorney and First Assistant United States Attorney, practices in the areas of governmental investigations, criminal defense, commercial and business litigation, and government relations and municipal law.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Fondren was with the Department of Justice for nearly 20 years, and served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee and the District of Columbia.  She served for two years as First Assistant U.S. Attorney and was Acting U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee in 2024 and 2025. She also served for three years as Senior Litigation Counsel in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s office, where she defended the United States in various civil cases, including employment discrimination, medical malpractice, prisoner litigation, financial and bankruptcy litigation matters. Ms. Fondren has extensive trial and appellate experience and has managed complex litigation and trials involving multiple government agencies.

A native of Memphis, Ms. Fondren earned her undergraduate degree from Spelman College and her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law. In addition to her professional work, she is actively involved in community and legal organizations, including Girl Scouts Heart of the South, the Association of Women Attorneys, and the Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association.
