Maria Bartlett
Maria’s practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, business, real estate and tax matters. She has also represented state universities in public-private partnership transactions for the development of on-campus student housing facilities. Maria has appeared before the United States Bankruptcy Court in the Western District of Tennessee and the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts and the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western District Courts of Texas. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi (J.D.), the University of Houston (M/LL.M, Taxation) and the University of Memphis (B.A.). To learn more about Maria, click here.
Mathew’s practice focuses primarily on medical malpractice litigation, nursing home neglect litigation, personal injury litigation, and white-collar criminal defense. Prior to joining Burch, Porter and Johnson as an Associate, he served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Bernice B. Donald of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He has tried cases in federal and state courts across the State of Tennessee, including numerous civil and criminal jury trials. He has significant appellate experience and has argued cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Tennessee Court of Appeals.
