David Goodman’s practice primarily focuses on government relations & municipal law, commercial & business litigation, insurance defense, personal injury litigation, and medical malpractice.  He has extensive experience in representing and assisting a number of Tennessee municipalities in all facets of their operations. He is licensed to practice law in both Tennessee and Mississippi, and is also admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court. David Goodman serves as Town Attorney for both Brighton and Henning, Tennessee. He is also the City Attorney for Germantown, Tennessee.


Representative Matters

  • In February 2015, Mr. Goodman, Tannera Gibson, and Les Jones represented a plaintiff in obtaining a substantial verdict in a medical malpractice case in Shelby County, Tennessee.
  • In May of 2017, Mr. Goodman, Les Jones and former Burch, Porter & Johnson partner Todd Rose obtained a jury verdict in favor of the plaintiff in a medical malpractice case in rural West Tennessee.
  • Obtained summary judgment for insurer in breach of contract and bad faith denial of claim case in federal court. See Wynne v. Stonebridge Life Ins. Co., 694 F. Supp. 2d 871 (W.D. Tenn. 2010).
